King of hearts – romantic hearts that is. Under John Galliano’s watch, Dior collections were flowered with passion, friv. style, and eccentric taste. It’s clear that he has no limits to creativity. He is always fired up with a surplus of ideas and is now determined to overcome every obstacle set forth by his critics.

Despite the unfortunate circumstances in Galliano’s unfair trial dismissal at Dior, Galliano may have lost his Paris court case which demanded damages 2.4 million Euros to 13 million Euros, but he hasn’t lost his touch.

In his defense, he claims: “The two companies were fully aware of my state. I took Valium so I could get through fittings,” Galliano states courtroom. “I can’t let the 17 years I spent and enjoyed at Dior be blackened like this. During these years as creative director of this house, I did not realize that its success, multiplying its sales by four, came at a destructive and exorbitant cost: my physical and mental health. Always more work, always more obligations, always more pressure, a dangerous and pathological spiral, without control.”

“I have not done my best collection, he says. “The new Galliano will be bigger and stronger.”

You know what they say… what doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger.

Galliano tells French newspaper Le Point, “I’m learning to change perspective, to assume my responsibilities”.

Whether you succeed or fail in fashion, what’s really important is to keep moving forward.

Lost and forgotten … the past is behind us, and Galliano’s future looks so bright, we need sunglasses to see it.

With Galliano’s new found glory, a position at Margiela, the competition is quaking with fear and running scared. They are absent-minded without decisive reasoning and sound judgment. This is Galliano’s defining moment where opinion and controversy is overcome by talent, creativity, and determination. Margiela is Galliano’s golden ticket to permanent resurrection and reincarnation.

Heavy-weight Amanda Harlech backs Galliano, who says that she compares working with Galliano “to being hit by a massive surf wave”.

Success does come at a cost, and it always ruffles some feathers … but you should always remember that if you were a “nobody,” they wouldn’t be talking about you in the first place.

So, it’s time for Galliano to shake off the dust, get back on his feet and try again. Those who are envious, spiteful, judgmental, insecure, have nothing on him. His best days are still in front of him and no one has really seen what he is truly capable of. So buckle your seatbelts, it’s going to be a rough ride and a devastating blow to those who thought Galliano was finished for life.
